They guarantee the controlled transmission of forces between superstructure and substructure. They also allow rotations around each axis and movements in all directions. In efe-Prima-ce, we work with two kinds of supports, structural and elastomeric, based on the satisfaction and technology they provide.
RESTON-POT supports by MAGEBA are designed to transfer vertical forces to substructure and to allow rotations thanks to an elastomeric cushion placed on the support nucleus.
RESTON-SPHERICAL supports by MAGEBA are convex elements that move over a concave surface and transmit vertical forces. This way, they allow the needed rotations.
RESTON-POT structural supports are suitable to structures with a wide range of charges, from weak charges to tough charges with frequent movements and rotations.
SPHERICAL-RESTON supports, on the other hand, are suitable to structures transmitting medium and high charges. They are also recommended for structures that have to allow the accumulation of big sliding movements such as suspended bridges that suffer the force of wind. Sliding material, tough and resistant, found in its nucleus makes possible to design this support with reduced dimensions. This can be really useful in areas with limited space.
